SUMMARY:

The Production Assistant for Earth Elements Soapworks will work directly with our Production Manager. We are looking for someone who is ready to learn all aspects of the production line for Earth Elements Soapworks. We need someone reliable, dependable, efficient, very detail-oriented, who has good organizational skills, with a strong work ethic.The successful candidate will be trained in all areas of production and will need to be able to work alone and alongside others. Experience in a field with transferable skills, such as food manufacturing, cosmetics or soap production is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet daily production goals for products by end of day
  • Follow and scale formulas, control mixing processes, fill and label finished product
  • Organize and manage inventory of raw materials and supplies
  • Work with Production Manager to ensure all ingredients are ordered one month in advance of production schedule
  • Ensure that all finished products are consistently inventoried, arranged, stored, and labeled
  • Communicate effectively to team regarding inventory and production levels
  • Demonstrate a passion for details and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to interpret, understand, and execute formulas

  • Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment at all times and within all sections
  • Accurately measure raw materials. Math skills for measuring, conversions, production planning are desired
  • Heating, mixing, blending, and filling ingredients efficiently while minimizing waste.
  • Labeling products, ingredients, and other materials precisely
  • Record production activities in logs, and  follow production operating procedures.
  • Organize and prepare work areas for production.
  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance such as washing dishes, wiping down work space, emptying the trash, sweeping and mopping floors.
  • Assisting with inventory, restocking, materials storage, receiving and logging raw materials.
  • Implement safety measures and communicate any problems with the team in a positive manner
  • Ensure timely and safe production, development, and quality of all finished goods.
  • Provide innovation strategies for production practices and raw materials
  • Preparing work areas for efficient production, general cleaning and maintenance.
  • Notifying manager of supply inventory and needs.
  • Pick and pack orders for shipment.
  • Label and pack products based on quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow good manufacturing procedures while performing daily work.

POSITIONS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in a field with transferable skills, such as food manufacturing, cosmetics or soap production is preferred.
  • Experience with implementing quality control best practices across raw materials, production, and finished goods.
